艾伦•里德 SOUNDWALK 林肯中心 and Central Park, Presented by Juilliard

艾伦•里德 SOUNDWALK is a free, GPS-enabled work of public art that uses music to illuminate the natural environment. Created by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and sound artist 艾伦•里德, SOUNDWALK is user-guided: the path you choose dictates the music you hear, and no two visits will be exactly the same.
Juilliard has commissioned a new 艾伦•里德 SOUNDWALK in 林肯中心 that connects with and expands upon Reid’s existing work in Central Park via Broadway. This expansion includes music by Reid as well as archival recordings from a selection of past performances by Juilliard students.
To get started:
- Download and install the free SOUNDWALK smartphone app, allowing the app to use your location when prompted.
- Select “Open Walk” on the 林肯中心 and Central Park SOUNDWALK, and then tap “Download.”
- Put on your headphones and press “start.”

Since reception can be spotty, we strongly urge you to install the app on your phone and download the SOUNDWALK over wifi or strong cellular signal before you set out.
艾伦•里德 SOUNDWALK 林肯中心 and Central Park, presented by Juilliard, launches on Earth Day 2024 (April 22, 2024) and will be available to download and explore for two years.
